Packaging requirements in this sector vary enormously depending on the type of produce needing to be packed and where it needs to be packed.
For field packaging, we can supply solidboard water-resistant material allowing the user to pack wet produce directly into the pack. These would normally be supplied folded flat and pre-glued, which means they can easily and quickly be erected by the packers.
With this type of pack the produce can be hydro-cooled directly in the pack if required.
If the packing is done in a pack house the same type of pack can be used if there is a need for a high degree of water resistance.
If the need for water-resistant material is not required, we can supply either corrugated board or standard solidboard - both are suitable for use with punneted or pre-packed produce. These packs can be supplied hand erect, pre-glued
